2020 has been a year of changes! Our practice was closed for two months due to the Covid-19 outbreak, and we have made numerous changes to ensure your safety. We are limiting the number of patients in the office at a time, so you will not see a full waiting room. We are screening our patients for Covid symptoms, taking temperatures, ensuring enhanced cleaning of the office, utilizing medical grade air purifiers in the common areas and treatment rooms, and using masks, hair coverings, gowns, and frequent handwashing to keep everyone safe.
Those are not the only changes you will notice, however. We already had a lot of things in the works before the shut- down. In November 2019, Dr. Gentry completed her Dental Microscope training at the Virginia Microscope Training in Charlottesville, VA. We renovated our doctor treatment rooms to incorporate this new technology, as well as adding larger computer monitors for patient viewing, new patient chairs with massage, and other fancy gadgets! You will notice a lot of improvements for patient comfort and education and we are proud to offer high tech and innovative treatment areas.
We also added 3D printing technology, which is one of the latest advancements in dentistry. We will be able to print nightguards, surgical guides for implant placement, and much more! In addition to our CEREC technology that allows us to offer same day all ceramic crowns, we now have a new digital scanner and milling unit that will allow us to make ultra-strong Zirconia crowns. What we used to have to send out to a lab can now be made in office for your convenience.
Last, but not least, Dr. Gentry also attended advanced training through the prestigious Clinical Mastery Series. This continuum focuses on cosmetics, full mouth reconstructions, TMJ issues, and bite problems. Please ask about any issues you may have been experiencing at your next visit!
