Custom Dental Crowns & Bridges
Although we focus on prevention, when a tooth needs to be restored or replaced, we offer dental crowns and bridges.
Dental crowns are porcelain caps that can be used to strengthen a damaged or weakened tooth by covering it. At Gentry Dental we use CEREC technology, which allows us to create and place a custom dental crown in one appointment.
Dental bridges, on the other hand, are used to replace one or several missing teeth. Bridges use adjacent teeth to anchor down the replacement tooth.

This patient came to us to replace a missing front tooth. She was very concerned with how it was going to look and if it would match her other teeth. A dental implant was placed and an implant crown made to blend in with her other teeth. She was very happy to smile again without being self-conscious of her front tooth! At Gentry Dental, we are very detail oriented, and take the time to create beautiful esthetics for your smile. You can be assured that you will receive quality treatment in a caring environment.
For teeth with old, broken silver fillings and cracks in the enamel, we can restore the tooth with a same-day no-metal crown. Silver fillings break down over the years from normal wear and tear, and many times we see cracks in the tooth around the fillings. This may cause pain to biting or sensitivity to sweets or cold. With new technology, the tooth can be restored to proper function with materials that are much more esthetic than in the past.
Patient had what appeared to be a few small cracks around an old silver filling on a back tooth. Often these cracks are much deeper and extend further than they appear to. The tooth was at high risk of breaking, so a dental crown was recommended. The crown was done in one visit and now the tooth is protected from further cracks forming.
